Amanda founded Brokaw PR in February 2012 where she continues her track record of generating outstanding publicity for her clients and maintaining excellent relationships with top media outlets. To date, she has successfully garnered placements in The New York Times, The Today Show, USA Today, Fox & Friends, New York Magazine, Zagat, The NY Daily News and many more.
Amanda is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis. She serves on the board of directors of the New York Women’s Culinary Alliance, an organization of professional women in the food and wine industry dedicated to encouraging cooperation, networking and education among its members.
Amanda resides in NYC with her husband and two daughters where she continues her quest to uncover the city’s infinite culinary delights.
Growing up on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, Amanda’s love of the culinary world started young. She fondly remembers daily shopping trips to local epicurean emporiums such as Zabar’s, Fairway and Citarella, and the mesmerizing tastes and aromas that ignited a lifelong passion. Today, she is thrilled to be representing many clients in the food industry, as well as various hospitality, spirits and lifestyle brands.
Her PR career began more than 16 years ago at a few well-established NYC agencies, including Hunter Public Relations, where she honed her media relations and account management skills. She was responsible for securing national and New York daily print, broadcast and digital coverage on behalf of clients including Fortune 500 and blue-chip global companies such as 3M, Kraft, Diageo, Hasbro, Campbell Soup Company, Kellogg’s, and Wrigley.
